Bear Republic Brewing Company (Bear Republic) was founded by third and fourth generation Sonoma County residents. From the humble beginning of home brewing to the demanding process of commercial brewing, came the realization that to produce the distinctive flavors and aroma we found appealing required the founding of our own Brew Pub. Through this process owners Richard R Norgrove, and wife Sandy, Richard G Norgrove, (Brew Master) and wife Tami, developed the style and mark of Bear Republic's award winning, hand-crafted lagers and ales. Located in historic Healdsburg, California, where hop kilns from another era are still visible, our products are brewed and aged using the traditional "art" of the masters. Bear Republic's family business is unique, from the mother who greets you at the door, to the son who brews the ales, the father who pulls tap and the daughter-in-law who keeps the books. The Norgroves invite you inside for healthy food and drink for the enjoyment of the whole family. Our goal is to create and cultivate a Brew Pub and Restaurant that the locals can call their own and that makes visitors feel at home. We work hard at fostering a sense of loyalty and tradition from eras gone by.

Looking for the best beer and food in Sonoma County, and possibly the universe? Look no further! Ruth McGowan's Brewpub, in the heart of beautiful downtown Cloverdale, is waiting to knock your socks off! (Shoes and shirts required.) Mary Ann and Mike Brigham opened their Brewpub on March 17, 2002, naming it in honor of Mike's Grandma. Feisty, stout hearted Ruth still shoveled snow off her sidewalk and mowed her own lawn at age 96, back home in New London, Wisconsin.
Mary Ann and Mike wanted to craft the finest beer imaginable for their family of friends - which they do, right before your eyes, in gleaming copper tanks. (Aren't you glad you don't have to polish them?) And they wanted to create a friendly and family-oriented neighborhood pub where everyone, including you fabulous unescorted ladies, would feel at home. Framed photographs of old Cloverdale line the walls of Ruth McGowan's Brewpub, along with the original sign from the gone-but-not-forgotten Preston covered bridge, warning that there will be a $5 FINE FOR ANYONE GOING FASTER THAN A WALK ACROSS THIS BRIDGE! So, slow down! Enjoy one of the many delicious and delightfully affordable items on our menu, along with daily specials. And don't forget to try our crowd-pleasing, red-headed Cloverdale Ale. Incidentally, Ruth McGowan's beers are now being distributed at many fine dining establishments (restaurants in other words) throughout the area.
Once voted “Sonoma County's Best Hamburger”, this legendary restaurant has long been a favorite stopping point for travelers along Hwys. 101 and 128,as well as loggers and ranchers. Open from 7am to 9 pm- seven days a week, Hamburger Ranch also serves ranch-size breakfasts and delicious pasta made with homemade sauces. Newly added last year, is a giant wood-fired smoker where they slowly cook all the BBQ faves like Brisket , Baby Back Ribs, Pulled Pork and Chicken all year long. During the summer months, locals flock to the weekend BBQ's held in the garden patio where along with the year-round fare Bob and Joanne, the Owners, work the outdoor grill serving big steaks, salmon and oysters. A good selection of local wines, micro-brews & domestic beers. Over the years the walls of the restaurant have been decorated with postcards of customers from around the world-this place is definitely world famous and they have the post cards to prove it! North of town-Top of the Hill-at 31195 N. Redwood Hwy.
